Villagers tried to revive the collapsed, dehydrated, 20 year old elephant with water and food.Elephant did not respond.
Veterinarian team headed by Dr. Manoharan administered vitamin injections and glucose.
"A calf came to the spot where its mother was treated.
It kept pushing the mother and soon the mother elephant rose from the ground," a forest official said.
