Jumbo ravages maize farm near Maruthamalai

After 8 hours of struggle, a wild elephant and it's calf were driven back into the forest.

The wild animals had entered a residential area near the foothills of Marudhamalai in Coimbatore suburb, on Friday night, triggering public panic.

The pachyderm and it's calf entered a residential area  - Pothigai -  and ravaged maize farm.
