Tusker electrocuted, near telugu cult centre

A wild elephant was electrocuted in the Boluvampatti Range of Coimbatore Forest Divison, on thursday.

The 25 year old tusker likely received the fatal electric shock, as it pushed down a power pole, in a farm, at Kuppepalayam village.

A new electric line has been set up along a road outside the forest area, about 500 metres from the reserve forest.

The carcass was taken to the Chadivayal Resrerve Forest for post mortem.
