Encroachment of traditional habitat

Increased construction near the ranges and mindless urbanization is leading to higher instances of human-animal conflict here.

Umesh Marudachalam, a wildlife activist says, 

'There are acres of land encroached to build universities and homes and elephants are forced out of their traditional habitats. And increased conflicts between man and animal lead to unnecessary deaths on bth sides."
